Rick completed all of his primary and secondary education within the 86th District, and completed undergraduate work at Joliet Junior College. From there he went on to attend the University of St. Francis and graduated from USF in 2006.  Having a desire to serve better his community and the local church, Rick then went on to complete a M.A. at Biola University in LaMirada, California and later obtained his Th.M. at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois.    



Professional Service


Rick has served this community and our nation for most of his professional life.  He joined the United States Army Reserves at age 17, serving until 2000 and received an Honorable Discharge.  In 1996 Rick joined the Will County Sheriff’s Office and continues to serve the people as a Sergeant. His police work includes assignment to the department’s Honor Guard and SWAT team as well as a variety of patrol and security roles.
